jerusalemslot This album is a great take on halloween - it maintains such themes as paranoia, fear, general spookiness, and weaves a programmatic narrative through every track. Couldn't recommend it more!

A.M Easily one of my most anticipated releases for this year, and it lives up to the hype. The atmosphere of the last two releases is present in this one, and I can't think of a better lo-fi synth Halloween album that came out in the last year. Hopefully this artist puts out more content after this trilogy.

June 3rd, 2019:
Good God. I've escaped the clutches of the Pumpkin Witch. But for how long, I know not.

I was torn from my home, last October, by three dark figures: The Disgraced Scientist, The Vampire Tyrant, and Haunter of Darkened Forests. These are the three villains responsible for summoning the Pumpkin Witch and conjuring chaos and death in my small town. And soon, the rest of the world.

While trapped in the hovel of the Pumpkin Witch, her terrible plans became mockingly revealed to me. Knowing what may be the ghastly fate of humanity was but a part of the barrage on my psyche. Just laying eyes on that half-rotted gourd hag was torture enough. I wish not to delve much more into what I suffered at the hands of my vile tormentors, for my own mental well-being. Some good may have come from my entrapment by the Pumpkin Witch and her cohorts though: I discovered a possible weakness.

The Pumpkin Witch is a seemingly ancient phantasm that can inhabit any body prepared for her. If I can expel her spirit, the very essence of the Pumpkin Witch, from the sickening physical vessel she currently inhabits, and transfer it to another vessel of my own control, her murderous designs could not come to pass.

This will require a great deal of research of the occult, and a deep understanding of magic to pull this off. I will need to figure out a suitable vessel to entrap the Pumpkin Witch in, as well as learn the necessary spells to end this reign of terror.

For my own safety, as well as your own, I cannot give away too much of my current whereabouts. I know that awful crone and her cronies are out searching for me. However, what I can say, is that I have already learned much arcane knowledge at a meeting of mystics in Worcester Massachusetts a couple months ago. More knowledge and incantations must be learned, and materials gathered, in order to see my plan through and put a stop to the Pumpkin Witch. Her campaign of horror must be ended, her plan for planetary dominion stopped. I shall continue my work and you, dear confidants, shall be updated as necessary.

Be wary, stay safe, and thank you for sticking with me,

Mr. C-

July 9th, 2019
Summer. The sun hangs high in the sky late into the day. The air is alive with sound: lawn mowers droning, birds singing, insects humming, children laughing, enjoying their break from school. A season of merriment, a season to relish life.

Summer is also the season before the descent into madness and horror. Summer is but the precursor for the coming of the Pumpkin Witch.

Time grows short, autumn is coming, but oh my friends, I have been making progress. I have been learning of magic and spellcasting, and this Friday, I will learn the specific incantation which will allow me to entrap the Pumpkin Witch. A gathering in a small borough of New Jersey shall be where I learn this sorcery. More knowledge will still need to be attained, specifically what object, what vessel will be suitable to contain the evil pumpkin hag. But one thing at a time.

One worry for my trip to New Jersey is the three henchmen, the three dark figures behind the summoning of the Pumpkin Witch. For they too have been busy. They have been spotted already more than once this year. Local authorities, who have mostly been skeptical of this evil, have issued warnings to the public to stay away from these villains, who have been stalking the cemeteries at night. Attached, you will find some pictures that have been taken of them when spotted.

I worry about them in relation to my trip for if they are already active, they then are up to something. They could be aware of what I am doing. They could follow me to New Jersey and end my plans by ending myself or worse, kidnap me and return me to that loathsome hovel.

Extra care and precautions shall be taken. I can only hope that it will be enough.

Wish me luck,

Mr. C-

August 16th, 2019
Yesterday evening, the night of the full moon, I felt much change coming. Though it is still August, there is a chill in the evening breeze and the fall field crickets have begun to take up their nocturnal chorus. The whispers of autumn can already be heard. And while for the past couple of years, autumn has meant terror and death, I feel optimistic in my work to change that.

My trip to New Jersey proved fruitful: I have learned an ancient incantation to capture the Pumpkin Witch with. The occultists whom I met had already known of the Pumpkin Witch and her three henchmen and were quite helpful and knowledgeable in the ways of spells.

But while the trip was fruitful, it very nearly ended in disaster. For the three villains tied to the Pumpkin Witch, The Disgraced Scientist, The Vampire Tyrant and Haunter of Darkened Forests as I have learned they are known as, were also in that small borough of New Jersey the same night as I. While walking down the street that night, I heard that same ghastly music that I have observed hearing at the sites where children have disappeared from and at the large pumpkin patch in town. I investigated the cellar down an alleyway from which the music was coming from, and there I found them. They seemed to be performing some sort of nefarious ritual in which they were summoning these otherworldly sounds and tones, the purpose of which I haven't the faintest idea. I saw them that night, and perhaps they saw me. But they did not pursue. I am still alive and well, so that must mean something. However they are surely at work and following my movements. I fear dwelling on what their motives may be and what they may be doing. I try to push my fears and thoughts about them from my mind so that I may continue forward with my plans, but one cannot simply extinguish fear and suspicions. They lay at the back of my mind, but they must not occupy my thoughts such that my work is interfered with.

Moving forward, an interesting bit of information I learned about trapping and ensnaring spirits is that they are more easily captured in vessels akin to what they currently occupy. The vessel also needs to be something the one casting the spell has a personal bond with. It seems clear then that I must grow and prepare a pumpkin to hold the spirit of the Pumpkin Witch. The pumpkin will be enchanted and warded to prevent escape of course, which I already have planned. I must admit though, I am somewhat lacking what some would refer to as a "green thumb." I have been attempting to grow my own pumpkins for this very purpose, but they have not been coming along as nicely as I would hope. And in order to hold a spirit as evil and powerful as the Pumpkin Witch, the pumpkin I prepare must be healthy and possess a natural strength, which I do not believe any of my own pumpkins currently have.

I have arranged a meeting for this evening with a farmer in rural upstate New York who claims to know the secrets of growing the biggest, healthiest pumpkins possible. Hopefully he will be able to lend me his knowledge to aid in my pumpkin growing venture. But I also must be careful. After seeing those dark specters in that small borough of New Jersey, I have no doubt in my mind that they will appear in upstate New York as well.

To the fall of the Pumpkin Witch,

Mr. C-

September 25th, 2019
And so once more it is here. Autumn. For me, autumn used to be a season of gratitude for the past verdure and vitality of spring and summer. Autumn used to be the precipice before the expiration of the land; a descent of red and gold foliage as all descends into the cold of winter. It used to be a time of comfort, to enjoy a mug of warm cider next to the fire, to read a good book next to the window and every once in a while, gaze out at the landscape set aflame by the hues of the season, and perhaps feel an understanding that there is a certain beauty in death, tempered with the forlorn notion that it will be months before signs of life return to the natural world. Autumn used to be a season of quiet reverence and reflection. Used to be.

On this day, just after the autumn equinox, allow me to rekindle this lost meaning and reflect on my trip to upstate New York. The farmer I met lives near the northern portion of Lake Champlain, not far from the Canadian border. The land there is cruel and the weather can be quite harsh, so it was out of necessity this farmer learned less... conventional methods for improving the health of his crops, thereby increasing his yields. Utilizing an old rural magic combined with a deep knowledge of natural remedies for insect and fungal infestations that can only be learned from years of experimentation and cultivating the same land, this farmer became quite effective at his profession.

And I am happy to report that his teachings allowed me to rescue my own pumpkin plants so I was able to harvest one pumpkin that possesses the natural strength and health necessary for my capture of the Pumpkin Witch.

However, something else happened while on this rural farmland in New York. Since we went late into the night gathering ingredients and going over incantations, the farmer offered me his guest room for the night, for which I was most grateful. I was awoken however by a terrifying melody. I hastily got dressed and set out to find where it was coming from, though I already knew who or what would be creating it.

My search brought me outside, to a dilapidated shed surrounded by overgrown vegetation. Peering in one of the dirtied windows, my suspicions were confirmed. There they were, The Disgraced Scientist, The Vampire Tyrant and Haunter of Darkened Forests, performing another sickening ritual, conjuring forth this unwholesome music, the purpose of which I still do not quite know. It plays on my very nerves and yet I cannot help but feel drawn towards it on some way. Standing there listening and watching, it felt as though the internal fibers of my very being were being pulled and stretched. Surely it is no coincidence too that they followed me first to my meeting in New Jersey and now to this remote farmland, both times concocting this strange and eerie music, similar to the echoes and whispers that can be heard from the sites of past disappearances and kidnappings.

What does this music have to do with the disappearances and kidnappings themselves? What is this feeling I experienced while listening: some witchery meant to rend my soul from my body, or am I morbidly interested and enthralled by the music itself? If the Pumpkin Witch is sending these three after me, they must know of my intentions, yet why do they not outright stop me? What exactly is her plan with me and with the world this autumn?

As I've indicated before though, perhaps I should not worry about such things. I should just stick to my work, which is nearly at its end. Soon enough I will confront the Pumpkin Witch. I shall rid the world of her evil, and have autumn return to the season of changing foliage and comfortable contemplation. Or I will surely perish in my attempt. And autumn will remain bastardized by her evil. For my sake, for yours, and for everyone else's, I hope for the former.

To try and stay optimistic and have something to look forward to, I have already arranged a trip to Seattle in mid-November. A much needed vacation after this Pumpkin Witch ordeal. May I live long enough to enjoy it.

I shall send one more message before my final confrontation. Down with the Pumpkin Witch.

October 12th, 2019
And so the time has come. All my preparations are made. My spells and incantations are compiled and organized. My pumpkin is carved and
enchanted, ready to entrap the Pumpkin Witch.

I shall be taking my journey into the forest, to her miserable hovel in that unwholesome pumpkin patch to strike her down this evening, the night before the full moon. It has always been that her unholy assaults align with the cycle of the moon, which allows her to amplify her powers. She then should be busy preparing for her annual attack, hopefully giving me the opportunity to catch her unaware.

Such a tactic though, may be used in vain, for my run-ins with her three henchmen throughout this year so far would indicate she is onto me and has known of my plans since the start.

I try to keep such thoughts from my mind, so as to not self-sabotage and poison my brain with doubt, but it is difficult. Especially with my
most recent experiences.

I have not seen The Disgraced Scientist, The Vampire Tyrant or Haunter of Darkened Forests since my trip to that farm in northern New York. But I can feel them. And worse, I hear that infernal music that they conjure forth. At first it was infrequent: a few notes here, a melody there every few days. In those periodic instances, I would look for them, try to locate where they may be hiding to torment me, for it would happen anywhere at any time.

One night, I awakened in a cold sweat and heard a daemoniacal melody. Shortly after getting up out of bed to search for those villains though, the music stopped. I searched my house and yard in the middle of the night, but could not find any sign of them. A few days later, I heard that terrible music while picking up groceries. I stopped my shopping and began searching the aisles of the store. In my pursuit, a worker asked me if I needed help looking for a particular product. I inquired about the strange music that was clearly playing, which I knew to be the work of those spectres of terror. The worker looked at me curiously and explained they could not hear any strange music. Just then, I stopped being able to hear it myself. I must have looked like a fool, but I laughed it off and continued about my shopping. But I keenly knew something was not right.

That was when I would hear the music infrequently. Then it became audible to me for a period of time every day, then multiple times a day. It began impacting my effectiveness at my job, forcing the editor at the newspaper to ask me to take some time off. They sympathetically encouraged me to gather myself, get rest and relaxation and return to work when I am rejuvenated. Now, with not even my job to occupy my mind, my thoughts have been wholly absorbed by the Pumpkin Witch, and I hear that sickening music nearly constantly. I have given up searching for the source of the music. The only reprieve I have is when pure exhaustion forces me to fall asleep. And even then, I have troubled dreams about this task before me, my quest to vanquish the Pumpkin Witch.

I must carry out the destruction of the Pumpkin Witch to preserve my own sanity, my own safety and well-being. I fell into her clutches last year.  If nothing is done, this will surely happen again. If I fail at my task, then perhaps an even worse fate shall befall me, perhaps worse than even death, which horrifies me to the core of my being. Success is the only option. The Pumpkin Witch must be destroyed to protect myself, my town. and the world at large. To fail would bring global terror and catastrophe.

I apologize, this has been a rather dreary message. This whole Pumpkin Witch affair is rather dreary and dreadful. But it should be done and over with after tonight. Thank you so much my friends, for sticking around, reading my messages, offering words of encouragement and supporting me these last couple years. If I survive this night and rid the world of the Pumpkin Witch, I hope to keep in touch. If though this is the last you hear from me, I have failed, and no one will be safe.

Now, I must go. Tonight is the night I will seek out and make my final stand against the Pumpkin Witch.

Wish me luck friends,

Mr. C-
